Transactional Messaging

eMail buttonSending your customer a receipt or registration confirmation does not need to be the end of their transaction.  The transactional message can also contain a marketing message. Most AMS transactional messages have only transaction detail without branding, images or other text. Changing the transaction template is expensive with little design flexibility.

Transactional messages get an average 60% open rate, 30% of the revenue and are only 4% of the message volume eMail marketers deploy each year. Regulations and compliance laws permit turning your transition messages into a new opportunity and a 60% open rate is enough reason to start reviewing what opportunities exist in your transactional messages. If you don’t have access without the help of IT with your current eCommerce or other transactional message system, HighRoad has a solution for you!

HighRoad’s Transactional Messaging Solution can be used with your HighRoad Campaign eMail tool to give you more control over the look and feel of your transactional messages –  all without requiring your IT resources. Once Transactional Messaging is enabled for your HighRoad Campaign eMail Account, either your IT or the HighRoad Professional Services team can use the Transactional API to automate receipts and notifications.  Transaction messages use a predefined template inside your HighRoad eMail account that you have access to edit to change marketing text and/or graphics.

Then measure your success with full access to reporting statistics under the reporting tab in the top navigation. Take the HighRoad to un-tap the marketing potential of your transactional messages and transition the transaction to a Life Cycle member relationship.

Transactional messages are defined under CAN-SPAM as any email "facilitating, completing or confirming a previously agreed upon transaction." Unlike commercial messages, transactional messages aren’t required to carry any of the following:
  • An advertisement notation at the top
  • A U.S. Postal Service address
  • An unsubscribe link
